Perlite...a heat-expanded volcanic mineral, specifically processed for horticultural use. Perlite attracts and holds water to its irregular surface. Perlite contains a network of air spaces which provide excellent drainage and aeration.
The largest size available. Used for soil mixes and special formulations including • soil conditionings • lawns • gardens • golf courses • potting plants • container grown stock • shrubs • roses • storage of bulbs • plant displays • preparing flower beds • packing and protecting plants during shipment • supporting cut flowers in containers.

Vermiculite

  

Vermiculite ...a mined mica type mineral with a neutral pH. It has been expanded by heat to form sterile fan-like particles which hold water, nutrients and air which offers good aeration and excellent water holding capacity.
Our coarsest horticultural grade of Vermiculite. Used for soil mixes, potting plants and planting. Extra Coarse A4 can be used alone as a complete soil substitute for starting seeds, root cuttings and potting plants, or mixed with soil for most garden uses. Extra Coarse is the lightest, cleanest, highest water absorbing Vermiculite available. Odorless, sterile and chemically inert, the dust has been screened out for convenient handling.
