Certified Landscape Technician Program
Date: Sat., September 27th - 6:00 am Start time
Place: Bissett Farmingville location
Fee: $375 for Association members    -  $395 for Non-members

Why Should I be "Certified"?
• Promotes professionalism within the landscape industry
• Provides national recognition
• Validates landscape skills
• Creates opportunities for career advancement in the industry
• Your company is registered as an employer of Certified Landscape technicians and welcomed to advertise as such
• Persons who pass each test will become Certified Landscape
• Technicians receiving a numbered certificate and ID card

What Do I Do Now?
• Declare a Specialty. Choose from:

Irrigation
Installation / Softscape Maintenance / Turfgrass
Installation / Hardscape Maintenance / Ornamental

Download the registration form/flyer by clicking here, then print, fill-out and mail the registration form
• Study for the Test – We recommend that you buy the Manual for your Specialty when you register.

How Does the Test Work?
• On test day it is required that you present a valid state drivers license, have on steel toe work boots, sleeved shirt and long pants (no tank tops or shorts).
• Testing begins with a written test for each core.
• You then begin a series of timed problems supervised by one or more judges. Most problems require applicants to install or maintain sample landscape projects and show proficiency at the task.
• At the end of each timed session, you rotate to another work station. This process continues until you complete all modules in your specialty.
• Applicants must pass every problem in order to become a Certified Landscape Technician. Those who do not pass may retake the failed portions during the next test.
• You will be notified by mail of the test results.
