RUDBECKIA (Black Eyed Susan, Gloriosa Daisy)

Black-Eyed Susan is a widespread native of the prairie states and has become a horticultural delight.  Although they're short-lived perennials, they will bloom the first year and are often grown as annuals.

Producing large golden blooms with chocolate centers, like those of classic black-eyed Susans, Indian Summer is a new cultivar that differs primarily in that its flowers are fuller and carried on stems that are well branched instead of long and straight.  Blooms from July thru September followed by mahogany foliage in the fall.
