ALLIUM (Ornamental Onion)

Although they're onions, these ornamental plants have no unpleasant scent unless cut. Some are actually sweetly perfumed. Alliums are useful in the garden because they bridge the gap between spring-flowering and summer-flowering bulbs.

Flowers: purple Height: 36-48"  Width: 8-10"
Large globe-shaped heads of lavender emerge in late May to June over the gray-green, strap-like foliage of 'Globemaster'.
